SoC Debug Engineer (Remote)

The IoTG Electrical and Power Validation team is a growing family of engineers adapting to the changing needs of our expanding IoTG customer base. The products we validate span devices, gateways, edge computing and wearable solutions containing CPUs, chipsets, SoCs, and MCPs across Xeon, Core, Atom, and AI devices. Our business segments include transportation, industrial, retail, and many broad embedded markets. We partner closely with Intel's Platform Engineering Group (PEG), Client Computing (CCG), Artificial Intelligence (AIPG) and Test & Manufacturing (TMG) groups to deliver the best possible products to our customers. This includes collaborating with component and platform design, firmware and software development, signal integrity, manufacturing and system integration test engineers, product regulatory and certification engineers, as well as program, quality & reliability, and management leadership. The SOC Debug Engineer role has a single purpose which is to solve our most challenging product issues. SOC Debug Engineers work with our internal product teams (Manufacturing/Validation/Software) and our customer teams during critical escalations to root cause system level failures and/or anomalies directly impacting our customers or jeopardizing our committed timelines. They are responsible for performing low level and complex debug across multiple IP and system domains within a product and will use their experience with/understanding of SOC design and architecture, Firmware, Bios, and software to completely understand any issue and drive a resolution. They are also expected to drive innovative debug capability improvements through new Design for Debug (DFD), debug tools and scripts to continuously improve the debug discipline.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork, classes, research and or relevant previous job and or internship experiences. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field with 6+ years of experience.
- 6+ years of experience in the following:
- Writing and debugging software
- Measuring electrical performance of analog signals
- Excellent Platform debug skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bench measurement equipment
- High speed serial interface analog building blocks, protocol, specifications, and test methods
- Writing Python object-oriented code to automate test procedures
- Good software architecture principles and development practices
- PCB layout best practices
- Experience leading cross functional teams to tune circuits and root-cause circuit related bugs
- Willing to mentor junior engineers to perform debug activities

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$132,940.00-$199,800.00
