Apply your skills to support the Customer Operations team of a global manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within the customer operations field and gain general knowledge about how a manufacturing company operates. This role will support the team in-office as a customer service generalist at the Woods Equipment Company facility in Oregon, IL.
This exciting opportunity is a paid full-time internship, targeted to start one week after your spring term ends and conclude one week before fall term begins. Target pay rate is $15.00 - $16.50 per hour, dependent upon education level/skill/experience.
As a Customer Operations Intern, you may:
- Act as a Customer Service Representative communicating with internal and external customers
- Gain valuable on-the-job customer service and supply chain experience and training
- Interact with the logistics team and gain an understanding of the freight costs and importance to customers
- Learn how a distribution center focused on same day shipments operates
- Gain an understanding of processing customer return transactions
- Experience the satisfaction of resolving a customer problem in one transaction
- Sharpen your listening skills to become a customer advocate
Requirements:
- A junior or senior level college student who is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, communications or related field. We will also consider a second-year community college student working toward an Associates
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work in a team-oriented environment, make good decisions, and adapt to changing priorities
- Relationship-building aptitude and outstanding communication skills
- Must answer the phone “with a smile”
- Attention to detail and strong organizational details
- Must take direction well and be a motivated self-starter
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and possess the ability and desire to learn new programs
- As part of our ongoing commitment to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all our Team Members, Oregon Tool is requiring that all new hires (including interns working 100% remote) have started their vaccination process or are already fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to their first day of work
