Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Management, the Product Management Intern supports projects to define and deliver new healthcare technology solutions. This position will enable individuals to build foundational knowledge of the entire product development lifecycle, with a particular focus on opportunity analysis.
Internship Location: This internship will follow a hybrid workplace model to foster collaboration as well as flexibility. Please only apply if you will be able to do both remote and on-site work at our Rosemont, IL offices (HQ).
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop deep understanding of target markets for conceptual IMO products
- Research competitive landscape to inform product strategy
- Support creation of business cases, including fact-based positions on addressable market opportunity and strategic fit
- Engage with product management, marketing, and growth teams to assess market traction, ultimately informing product roadmaps
- Collaborate with cross-functional team on special projects to improve product management functional efficiency
- Support marketing initiatives to drive awareness and adoption
- Utilize tools such as JIRA, Aha!, Confluence, PPM Pro, and Tableau
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Diverse Sophomore or Junior level classroom experience and a passion within the field of Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related.
- Curiosity and eagerness to explore B2B software/SaaS/Technology or Services Marketing in Healthcare.
- Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong quantitative skills; interest in competitive analysis and market research is a plus.
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Passion for understanding complex ideas and explaining them in clear, simple terms.
- Your voice (whether it’s a loud one or a quiet one). We believe in communicating. Ideas, needs, questions, concerns, good jokes.. Remember when we said we welcome your point of view? We meant it.
- An autonomous attitude. Of course, we’re here to teach, support and guide you through the internship, but ultimately, you will own projects and your development.
