ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Responsible for assisting in tasks and duties as directed by the intern’s manager. Provides support for critical business projects. Develops technical knowledge and leadership skills for future career marketability.
The Logistics Intern for Menasha Packaging will be responsible for assisting the Logistics/Procurement Team with projects starting May 2022 full-time during the summer, and part-time during the school year and the potential to work full-time during school breaks. This position will be working in office with the potential/flexibility to work remote.
- Collect data, generate reports, and provide analysis, including but not limited to cost savings projects and company spend
- Help to prepare for and participate in supplier negotiations including RFPs
- Assist in managing supplier relationships
- Perform updates and maintenance for logistics routing guides, certificates of insurance, and other supporting materials and or contracts
- Coordinate freight invoice payment and auditing of invoices
- Maintain purchasing policies and standard operating procedures manuals
- Participate in staff meetings
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or Equivalent
High School Diploma or Equivalent
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Pursuing postsecondary degree.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business (open to all business majors, however the role provides direct experience for Supply Chain Management, Accounting and Finance majors)
- Open to learning and exploring a variety of Procurement/Supply Chain business areas
- Demonstrate analytical skills and business skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- High degree of efficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Confident problem solver and self-motivated
- Value teamwork, diversity, and integrity
