Summer 2022 Internship: Neuromodulation (Clinical Technology)
Micro Systems Engineering has an internship opportunity for a self-starting, strategic thinking Engineering student for our Neuromodulation team in Portland, Oregon. This hands on opportunity will allow the student to utilize their skills and training in a practical environment with our team of innovative engineers within Research & Development. The ideal candidate will be be interested in utilizing their skills for a variety of potential projects, all having to do with furthering research and development as well as operations for our innovative product lines. Candidates must have an entrepreneurial mind with a passion for working in a company that is focused on improving patient lives.
The MSEI NRO R&D Group is looking for a qualified biomedical engineering intern to support clinical studies, new therapy characterization, research HW & SW development, and other clinical technology activities. Tasks include:
- Clinical research support—in vivo/animal clinical study support for: charging, ECAPs, advanced waveform research (anodic stim, interleaved electrodes, duty cycling, etc.
- Gen 1/Gen 1.3 Support—RDMS/RDMT development & maintenance, data analytics/machine learning support, bench characterization of new waveforms, etc.
General Useful Skills/Abilities:
- Education: Biomedical Engineering or related field.
- Must be enrolled in or about to graduate from an accredited university. May be an undergraduate or graduate student.
Location:
- On-site preferred (due to experimental support), but remote will be entertained.
