As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Risk with internal and key client deliverables in Chicago, IL.


Your impact as a Graphic Designer

Bring the latest knowledge and creative graphic and interactive design skills that will inspire creative excellence across US Commercial Risk and Health Solutions. We are seeking recent graduates to join our growing creative team. Operating like an agency, but within the stability of a global 1000 firm, we are seeking junior graphic designers to assist on deliverables to help the firm win new business and retain clients. We are a fast-paced team that works closely with our account and sales teams to create visual messaging that tells the Aon story. You will report directly to our U.S. Creative Director, which will provide you with the support and direction to grow as an in-house corporate designer.


This is a unique opportunity for rising college Seniors to learn, contribute, and gain real-world work experience in a collaborative environment. Interns have the chance to learn more about Aon’s culture and businesses while developing practical skills necessary for future success and postgraduate opportunities. The program equips interns with an understanding of working in an environment dedicated to exceeding client expectations and delivering products and services distinct to unique client needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong layout and design skills, acute attention to detail, accuracy, creativity and self-motivation
  • Work with account teams and leadership to understand the business
  • Learns to use professional concepts, applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues
  • Work independently and as part of a team to deliver consistent and effective designs across a variety of media
  • Represent Aon’s brand strategy internally to persuade and influence others
  • Develop flexible processes and tools to support different levels of creative needs in a fast-paced, budget-conscious environment
  • Ensure deadlines are met, quality is consistent and adhere to brand guidelines

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise


Required Experience:

  • Strong creative portfolio that shows a wide variety of media, techniques, and experience
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud applications + focused on new, innovative offerings
  • Creative, effective use and proficiency in Microsoft Office (word and PowerPoint) applications to produce client deliverables
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and in a timely manner with internal clients to determine project parameters and present ideas.
  • Pre and post-production skills (e.g. prep files for print)
  • Collaborate with remote/off-site Aon colleagues to meet goals and create deliverables
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams on multiple projects with defined deadlines
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize projects, keep commitments, and consistently deliver highly effective creative deliverables
  • Ability to receive and integrate constructive feedback effectively
  • Demonstrate ability using research insights and trends to continuously find design inspiration and bring creative concepts to life through innovative presentation tools
  • Self-initiative and desire for continuing professional growth along with the acquisition of new skills and expertise to meet the challenges of a competitive marketplace
  • Ability to articulate and follow Aon policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Personal talent in visual and written communication

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., graphic design, advertising design, UX design) strongly preferred

Applicants for this role, which is part of the Aon Summer Internship Program, should be rising seniors, graduating between December 2022 – June 2023 and have a GPA of 3.0 or above.

Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required for U.S. office locations. We do not offer sponsorship for this position – CPT and OPT are restricted forms of work authorization.


Aon Summer Internship Program

Aon’s Summer Internship Program provides a unique opportunity for rising college seniors to learn, contribute, and gain real world work experience in a collaborative environment.   • Training geared toward enabling interns to demonstrate an ability to work in a professional business environment

The goal of the Aon Summer Internship Program is to give students significant exposure to Aon through project deliverables, continuing education and a training curriculum.
