Position: IT Merchandising Engineer - Intern
Location: Sephora Field Support Center (FSC) – San Francisco, CA
Rate of Pay: $23/hr

As an IT Merchandising Engineer Intern you will:
- Apply theoretical learnings from your academic study and develop skills to support a future career in Engineering.
- Work with the Engineering Lead to develop applications for Supply Chain projects
- Be trained on Supply Chain IT tools and contribute in the areas of software development
- Work with Developers and Engineers to create prototypes and technical design solutions
- Create Pseudo Algorithms and use the latest technology/skills
- Develop user interface on Python, Angular, REACT and integrations on KAFKA/Web Methods. Use of databases from Oracle, Postgres, COSMOS
- Strong knowledge of Cloud technology and able to help with migration to cloud some small apps.

What you will accomplish:
- Lead or assist on projects using a hands-on approach
- Contribute to a large scale project such as IO Grid , New Assortment Management tool(on Angular JS, Node-JS, REST APIs) and Sephora-Kohls Integration project (Msql)
- Learn from the best by interacting with a dynamic team of professionals
To help ensure success, we are requiring the following characteristics, skills and experiences:
Education and experience:
- Currently working on the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- Currently a junior, senior or grad student
- Full Knowledge of programming, AI and machine learning
- Excellent knowledge of programming languages (Java Script, HTML, JAVA, PYTHON or C)
- Strong Web Application development experience and building APIs using JavaScript.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Power Point, Excel, Visio and Word
Characteristics:
- Excellent written, verbal and listening skills
- Ability to document requirements and keen attention to details
- Ability to speak in front of teams that include both business and IT partners
Time Commitment:
- Hours: M-F 9AM -5PM at Sephora Office in San Francisco (expected to be physically in the office 5 days every week during standard business hours unless directed by SF for COVID remote work enforcement)
