Job Description:
Analytical Mechanics Associates, Inc., (AMA) is currently seeking to hire a Software Developer Intern to assist the IT staff with numerous software development projects, which may include application development, SharePoint workflows, operations testing, scripting, etc. We are seeking a college Jr. or Sr. who is currently enrolled in an undergraduate Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related degree program. The intern will have the opportunity to work with a variety of systems, from traditional office applications, security systems, networking, web, and other technologies. Our environment will provide the intern with a unique opportunity to be exposed to a variety of technologies and its application to solution business opportunities and challenges. This is 6 month internship to begin immediately or Summer 2022 and will be located in Huntsville, AL. Remote work might also be available.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain software and systems and documentation.
- Implement workflows in SharePoint online
- Participate in Software and Systems Design sessions
- Investigate and evaluate vendor software systems
- Create and execute software test plans
- Troubleshooting basic issues & implementing software solutions
- Applying design standards and procedures to implement basic designs
- Communicating status of work & providing visibility to supervisor
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program
- Passion for writing software and learning the latest software development techniques
- A solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented software design.
- Some experience in one or more of .NET, Ruby, Python, Go, Java, C/C++/C#, or JavaScript
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
