Engineer
Due to our continued growth, the DNV Risk Management Team is looking for a highly motivated and innovative Junior/Entry-Level Engineer to join our fast-paced team in Dublin, OH.
A Junior/Entry-Level Engineer in the DNV Risk Management Team should expect to be involved in multiple risk management projects at once. The Junior/Entry-Level Engineer will be supported by senior team members and will be given more responsibilities as their competencies grow. The Junior/Entry-Level Engineer will gain significant experience in a wide range of oil and gas integrity issues in addition to a variety of digital solutions into which they will implement DNV’s risk solutions.
What You'll Do
- Assist in analyzing multiple sets of pipeline data using excel and specialized software packages
- Establishing statistical correlations across multiple data sources and platforms
- Assist in the development of risk assessment algorithms
- Performing data analytics on large data sets
- Using DNV’s Synergi Pipeline software to deliver integrity and risk based solutions
- Work closely with clients to ensure projects are run to their satisfaction and requirements
Position Qualifications:
What is Required
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science technology, data science, data analytics, or mathematics/statistics fields
- Programming experience in VBA, Python, SQL, or other programming language
- Working knowledge of reliability and statistics
- Knowledge of with relational databases
- Excellent computational and communication skills (both written and spoken)
- Commitment to deliver detailed and quality work with minimum oversight
- Willing to travel an estimated 15% of the year
- Demonstrated proven ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership for projects and tasks
- We conduct pre-employment background checks and drug screenings
What is Preferred
- Pipeline Risk/Integrity experience
- Machine learning
- Knowledge of process safety management fundamentals
- Internship experience working in oil/gas or software industry
