As you enter your junior or senior year of college, are you ready for your next challenge?

A paid summer internship with FNIC offers you a career-building experience within the insurance industry. You will also receive feedback from an assigned mentor who works with you to enhance your development. These part-time or full-time opportunities are offered May to September.

Without the strength of our accounting team, we wouldn’t be able to offer the industry-leading service we’re known for. We’re seeking a driven Accounting Intern to support our team this summer. As a strong communicator with a detailed-oriented mind, you will help assist the accounting team in the areas of budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes.

What’s the work like?

You will…

work with your mentors on a variety of accounting projects and workflows related to our core business operations, which may include but are not limited to:

  • General ledger reconciliations for cash, escrow, accrued expenses/liabilities, producer payables and more
  • Financial statement consolidation
  • Sales Tax filings
  • Agency Bill payment
  • Invoice coding/approval
  • Other projects as assigned

  • Must be able to work 20+ hours/week during your internship
  • Must be at least a junior or senior in college
  • You have to have…
  • a high school diploma
  • a proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • excellent verbal and written communication
  • Preferred - prior experience accounting experience including experience with general ledgers, tax filings, financial statements and invoice payment and approval.
