Responsibilities

  • Support senior engineer on the team to help drive the completion of safety and reliability analysis like Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA), Interdependence Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA), Reliability Allocation, Reliability Prediction Modeling, or Common Cause Analysis (CCA).
  • Apply general engineering concepts to process and design to meet program and team requirements.
  • Assist senior engineers in research, development and design implementation.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers and engineering design teams to define safety requirements and resolve derived requirements.


Requirements

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Currently pursuing B.S or M.S in Aerospace, Systems, Aeronautical, Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft fundamentals.Strong communication skills and a passion to learn something new.
  • Ability to present information clearly to a diverse audience.
  • Extreme enjoyment of dad-jokes.
Eligibility Requirements

U.S. Citizenship is required
Minimum age is 16
Must be live in the US at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins to meet eligibility requirements
Must be either a rising junior or Senior
Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0
Transcripts are required. Unofficial transcripts are accepted
Must be an enrolled student at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins to meet eligibility requirements
Must be able to work 40 hours a week for 8 weeks (Full-time 2 months)
Must be able to work pacific standard time (PST)
