Responsibilities:
- Support the planning & execution of Master Operations Plan
- Support the definition of Hangar Maintenance Equipment & related requirements
- Support the definition of Inventory and Warehousing planning for flight test and entry into service
- Support the definition of ground infrastructure setup for supporting flight test and entry into service.
- Support the definition of material flow among manufacturing facilities, vertiports, warehouses.
- Research literature and best practices for operations planning and execution from high throughput transportation networks with a focus on airlines & aircraft manufacturers.
Requirements
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Industrial Engineering undergraduate background (senior year or graduate).
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Previous internship experience preferred. Especially in manufacturing & industrial facilities (aircraft manufacturing, automotive). Better if involved in initial setup of facilities (e.g. new assembly lines, new product introduction).
- Experience with Data analytics and familiarity with Python.
- Ability to work with ambiguity.
- Strong collaborator and leader.
- Independent and self-driven personality.
- Data-driven: you use data to develop detailed plans. Most importantly, you leverage data to drive strategic decisions.
- An open-minded, creative, self-critical, flexible, and adaptable personality.
- Understanding of the product vs. project mindset.
Eligibility Requirements
U.S. Citizenship is required
Minimum age is 16
Must be live in the US at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins to meet eligibility requirements
Must be either a rising junior or Senior
Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0
Transcripts are required. Unofficial transcripts are accepted
Must be an enrolled student at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins to meet eligibility requirements
Must be able to work 40 hours a week for 8 weeks (Full-time 2 months)
Must be able to work pacific standard time (PST)
