Position: Junior Accountant / Junior Custodial Service Analyst

Pay: $25/hr.

Location - must be local to Schaumburg, IL - will be working from the office 1 day / week

Hours 8 -5 some flex earlier

Duration: 6+ months contract

Basic Requirements for the junior Analyst :

  • Intermediate - Advanced Excel (must have proficiency in pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)
  • 1 year + analytical experience including internships
  • Accounting, finance, treasury, custodial funds, or claims processing experience

As a Junior Analyst / Custodial Services Analyst, you will be responsible for

  • Prepare the weekly FSA manual claims calculation with data provided by the FSA department and Claims systems.
  • Calculate client funding requirements for the week
  • Email clients ACH transmittals of funds drawn from their accounts
  • Track client incoming FSA payments and prefund requirements
  • Ensure that client funding for claims is promptly completed and recorded; review client funding positions on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare the weekly FSA debit card claims calculations and branch reports.
  • Review and stamp weekly FSA reimbursement checks. Prepare and import FSA checks, EFT’s and POS files into the accounting system.
  • Record voided/NSF checks for FSA and COBRA in the accounting system.
  • Assist with various steps of the monthly COBRA reconciliation and Carrier Payments process.
  • Cross train on other functions within the department in order to fill in where needed.
  • Continuously improve and implement effective internal controls and process
  • improvements.
  • Compliance & Audit – maintain and provide accurate documentation and records for SOC1 and independent audit purposes. Compliance & Audit – perform annual financial audits of individual customer accounts and benefit plans for FSA and COBRA.
  • Assist COBRA/FSA departments with new client implementations
