AARP’s integrated marketing team serves as an internal strategic marketing partner to program and issue leads across the enterprise. Integrated marketing develops and delivers comprehensive, omni-channel marketing campaigns to support key programs and cross-Association initiatives.

The integrated marketing team is seeking a star intern for summer 2022. If you are passionate about marketing and are especially interested in channel integration, emerging trends, and how AARP markets its social impact offerings to its 38 million members (and millions of prospects), this internship is for you! You will assist with various projects and assignments that will expose you to the skills and experience necessary to design, execute and analyze complex, highly strategic, multi-channel digital marketing programs in a large, complex, social mission organization.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the marketing of AARP’s social impact issue areas by assisting team members on marketing campaign strategy, messaging, targeting, testing, and/or execution of projects
  • Tasks could include but not be limited to email planning, digital paid media planning/development, workflow initiation, working with creative agencies, sourcing content for promotion in marketing campaigns, research, analysis, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Prospective interns must be currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university; and be considered rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, post-doctorate students, or continuing education programs. A portfolio should be included with your resume
  • Interest, experience, and/or relevant coursework in digital marketing
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Excellent collaboration skills/team player, as well as ability to work independently
  • Flexibility
  • Initiative/self-starter
  • In-office/open office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly range is $18 for undergraduates, $21 for graduate students, $28 for Ph.D. candidates. Internships are non-exempt positions and are not eligible for employee benefits.

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)
AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
