Federal and Commercial Programs Internship - Remote
Capitol Advisors on Technology (CAT), is a firm that develops strategic science and technology partnerships and provides critical management and technology support that helps our clients excel. CAT is currently searching for an intern interested in commercial and government contracting, technology transfer, market research, and outreach.
Position Summary:
The intern will work under the direction of a Capitol Advisors on Technology staff member and provide strategic support for multiple programs to include One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Service (OASIS), the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS), and future programs.
Responsibilities will include the management of electronic communications from OASIS 8(a) Sub-Pool1 & Sub-Pool4. Identify mandatory training requirements or participation in seminars and report the information to pertinent staff. Provide an ongoing review of opportunities in databases such as, Capture Exec, GSA eBuy and Beta.gov and execute appropriate and timely responses in accordance with established guidelines and practices. Effectively manage the coordination of meetings with NCMS staff members. Provide prompt and professional follow-through on requests from NCMS and others. Lead the coordination and scheduling of regular conference calls for Capitol Advisors on Technology President and Program Managers. Marketing and Outreach projects may include creating and distributing Pozomy Capability Statements to designated Federal agencies and others as directed. Initiate communication with Federal, state, and local government POC’s to arrange meetings or presentations.
Qualifications:
A college sophomore, junior, or senior undergraduate student majoring in business administration, commercial and government contracting, marketing, communications or related field. Knowledge and experience in administrative procedures, such as word processing, managing files, and records. The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & SharePoint). Self-motivated, self-starter with excellent written and verbal communications. In addition, the candidate must be detail oriented, possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. A team player with the ability to interface with all levels of staff and external constituents. Highly efficient in time management with the ability to effectively prioritize and meet project deliverables. Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of all proprietary information. Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
