Summary
This internship is for the Summer 2022 semester. It will report to the Western Regional General Manager and work directly with the Sr. Sales & Marketing Associate. In this role, the Intern will Lead a market research study for the Western Region and participate in a strategic analysis initiative for potential sales opportunities in the West. The Intern may also contribute to other Sales & Marketing efforts as needed. This position will generally be remote, and occasionally have time spent at the Downtown Phoenix Office.
Principal Responsibilities & Key Results
- Market research to understand commercial developments within system, cities, states and regions we are currently engaged in business
- Research potential customers within current systems and cities, including but not limited to building data and contact information
- Identify potential parameters to identify and rank potential customers
- Develop and create presentations, maps and strategy plans from market research
- Attend City Council or other local meetings for various regions as required
- Sales and marketing back up as needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent communications skills including written, verbal, and motivational
- Eagerness to learn and develop under guidance of other sales and marketing personnel
- Ability to interpret, aggregate, trend, analyze, and manage data
- Familiarity with CRM systems preferred but not required
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Completion of Sophomore or Junior year of Business School
- ArcGIS or AutoCAD drafting experience is advantageous, not required
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in and pursuing an undergraduate OR graduate degree in Marketing or Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience in market research, strategic analysis, and general business skills.
