Summer Intern – Meetings (Remote / Paid)

The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) is currently hiring a remote Summer Intern for the Meetings Department.

This part-time seasonal position will offer challenging work/project(s) within an exciting industry. The Summer Intern will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced Association professionals in a flexible, innovative, mission-driven, and member-centric environment.

Responsibilities:

• AC Summer Meeting: Develop registration forms to collect key attendance information from AC leadership, help craft and review event BEOs and event specs for accuracy, and develop onsite materials for each attendee.
• AQPMS (Virtual) Meeting: Support development and distribution of communications to virtual meeting attendees.
• Board of Directors Meeting: Assist with development of signage and onsite materials, develop leadership communication forms and support leadership communications, assist with creating and reviewing event BEOs, attend onsite (if schedule permits).
• Annual Meeting: Assist with developing signage plans for Governance hotel, assist in developing and implementing leadership communication plans, develop schedule and communications for committee meetings.

Internship Details:

• Paid internship.
• 10-12-week commitment (during summer).
• Interns will work approximately 25 hours per week.
• Interns will be closely managed/mentored by their hiring manager.
• Interns will receive feedback regarding their work and performance.

Internship Eligibility:

• Students must be enrolled in a college/university. Sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students are preferred.
• Preference will be given to students receiving college credit for the internship.
• Students must interview with Human Resources and the Manager/Director who will be responsible for overseeing the work.
• Students must intern in an area which is related to their academic major and degree.
