About the Role
Outlier's cutting-edge Video Team is responsible for creating all video content for our courses and marketing. Interested in working with a world-class ed-tech startup that's making education more accessible, equitable, and affordable for everyone? If so, Outlier is offering an 8-week, paid internship within our Video department starting June 13, 2022, and ending August 5, 2022.
This is a remote, part-time contract role (up to 30 hours per week). As an independent contractor, you will need to have your own computer and webcam, and a stable internet connection.
What You'll Do
We're looking for a talented video intern with an interest in or experience with creating lecture and marketing video content. You will have a unique opportunity to:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Creative Producers and Junior Creative Producers in the creation of video content
  • Involvement in the development and production of courses
  • Aid in the pre-production and production process
  • Oversee scheduling, travel for professors production details

Who You Are

  • Undergraduate student
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and think outside the box
  • Willingness to work on tasks outside of direct experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with basic video/film production
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Course work in a film, TV, or media program is a plus
  • Passionate about education
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively
