About the Internship: MGM interns are immersed in an integrated learning environment and are supported by a built-in network of leadership advisors. This paid eight (8) week internship will introduce current college students to the exciting world of software, data, websites, mobile applications, and technology innovations that support the hospitality and entertainment provided by MGM. It provides participants with a variety of opportunities including professional development, executive exposure, and hands-on learning experiences unlike any other. MGM Internships open doors to post-graduation opportunities including potential opportunities for full-time employment and experiences that can only be provided by a global industry leader like MGM Resorts International.

Interns will:

  • Receive personalized learning plans specifically aligned to their goals and development opportunities in their chosen area of concentration.

  • Network with company leaders.

  • Potentially rotate through one or two departments in order to gain a cross-functional understanding of the MGM Resorts technology platform.

  • Participate in MGM Resorts’ Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives by engaging in diversity training, philanthropic events, etc.

  • Work on existing programs or new technology innovation research projects within the Commercial Technology teams, which includes software engineering, data, machine learning, artificial intelligence, websites, mobile apps and related projects,

Internship Requirements:

  • Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student as a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree at an accredited college or university

  • Currently hold and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a United States 4.0 scale

  • Participate in the full length of the Internship (8 weeks, 40 hours per week, first week onsite in Las Vegas, Nevada and seven remaining weeks can be remote, June 6th to July 29th)

  • Ability to submit University-issued transcripts, audition tapes, and essays upon request

  • Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of cumulative work and/or internship experience

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

  • Demonstrates analytical processes with strong communication skills

  • Project orientation and ability to handle simultaneous functions

  • Focused, strong work ethic, and self-motivated

  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting

  • Interest in, or experience in, technology innovation and research
