Overview
Honor Show is looking for a highly motivated, organized self-starter to assist our marketing team and help facilitate our summer planned events. Our marketing department focuses on numerous large events in the summer; Summer Junior Youth Shows and Show VIP, and this intern position would play a vital role in the execution of such events. This position would also require assistance with UGC content creation for Honor Show social media pages and creating an archive of show livestock fed across the country for 2022/23 seasons.
This ideal candidate should be prepared to work in a remote work environment and have the ability and motivation to take direction and jump start projects without being in a confined office. The intern can expect to finish the internship having gained broad experience in event planning and execution, social media management and various other outlets of marketing and advertising.

Compensation: $16/hr.

Summer Junior Youth Shows
The Exposition: June 12-18, Des Moines, IA
Midwest Stud Ram Sale: June 13-18, Sedalia, MO
Simmental Junior Nationals: June 24-30, Madison, WI
Angus Junior Nationals: July 2-9, Kansas City, MO
Junior National Hereford Expo: July 16-22, Louisville, KY
Assist with final planning and preparations including apparel inventory, sample giveaway inventory lists and spearheading delivery to shows.
Assist FIL in a social media coverage plan to highlight the week and nurture engagement across both event attendees and absentees.
Gather social media content for Facebook/Instagram posts, Instagram stories, live show coverage, etc. both in the booth and around the grounds.
Assist with the giveaway to prospective customers, identified by ASMs/Sales Specialists to build good will and top-of-mind awareness in select regions
Show VIP
Grey Summit: June 6-8
Assist with any final planning and preparations
Gather social media content for Facebook/Instagram posts, Instagram stories, live show coverage, etc.
Additional Marketing Projects
Develop a template to work with state cooperative extension services to collect number of head of market animals (cattle, sheep, goats, hogs) tagged in for the 2022 show season
Provide recommendations of growth/expansion of Show line based on above data collected
Requirements
Undergraduate student studying Agricultural Communications, Ag Business, Animal Science, Marketing or related.
Experience with event planning and execution preferred.
Extensive knowledge of social media.
Organized, self-starter, self-motivated, ability to work remote and communicate via remote methods.
Ability to take direction and multi-task with limited supervision and check-ins.
Photography experience is a plus.
