As a data scientist intern, you can turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. Across private and public sectors — from fraud detection, to cancer research, to national intelligence — you know the answers are in the data.

We have an opportunity for you to use your analytical skills to improve our business. You’ll work closely with your customer to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll apply analytical skills and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn that set of disparate data points into objective answers to help clients make informed decisions. You’ll provide your customer with a deep understanding of their data, what it all means, and how they can use it. Join us as we use data science for good in consulting. This position is open to temporary remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

  • Experience with machine learning, data mining, analysis, statistics, or graph algorithms in academic or internship environments
  • Knowledge of an object-oriented language, including Java, C++, C#, or Python
  • Ability to leverage expertise in data gathering, analytical, and problem-solving work
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree by Spring/ Summer 2025

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience using R, Perl, Python, SAS, or SPSS for data analysis
  • Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field by Spring/ Summer 2025 preferred; Scheduled to obtain a Master's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field by Spring/ Summer 2025 a plus

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Compensation:

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 70,000 to 80,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
